What is Total Knee Replacement

Total Knee Replacement (TKR) is a surgical procedure The upper part of Tibia Bone is cut with instruments So that Tibial Implant is seated properly. End part of Femur Bone is prepared with instrument to seat Femur Implant. Then the insert (commonly known as Cartilage) is inserted between the Tibia and Femur so that the joint has active and free movement With modern Hi-flexion designs it is possible to sit on floor with crossed legs after the surgery.
